Diva La Sports Pick 'McDowell' advancing in USTA Pro-Tour

"We picked her to do well in the event" said Michael Arnold, our producer at Diva La Sports. Michael is beng modest, Diva La Sports picked McDowell to win the entire event and has been following her with Video, Photos, and even an interview since she arrived at the tournament this past Saturday. Arnold said "our hope was for Greif (Abby) and Thomas (Mckenzie) to do well in the event, since they are local girls, but after watching some college footage of McDowell, well she became our favorite." She first caught my attention last week because she looks a little bit like my youngest daughter," said Arnold, "but after watching her game footage I quickly became a fan and decided that she would be our 'featured pick' for the Tournament."
As of today, July 22, McDowell has proven that Arnold knows talent when he sees it..."Amanda is a solid tennis player, a tremendous young lady, and a great athlete" said Arnold, who had the opportunity to interview McDowell on Monday. "She really understands the game, how to play it, and perhaps more importantly she knows how to prepare for each match....I think she has the potential to make it big on the Pro-Circuit, perhaps even beyond." McDowell, a recent Georgia Tech graduate, had to win four (4) qualifying matches just to advance into the main draw...she's not only in, but won her first match today (6-0 6-1) and just like Arnold predicted, she's doing well!
